BIO: Mari Susan Adkins is an American dark fiction author from southeastern Kentucky. Her poetry and other writing has appeared in the e-zines associated with the 3Sides Literary Agency, the Stories from the Red Light District anthology of short stories, and in various projects associated with Apex Publications. Midnight, Heir, and Elders are the first novels in the Harlan Vampires series; Mari is hard at work on the fourth book, Daybreak. Mari is a member of the Toasted Cheese online writing community and is an editor for Apex Science Fiction & Horror Digest.
